The Hilt Estate

Grassi collaborated with their long-time industry partner, Backen & Backen, on The Hilt Estate, situated in Santa Barbara County's dramatic Santa Rita Hills. The 3,600-acre property was originally the historic Rancho Salsipuedes producing pinot noir and chardonnay grapes. The Barn tasting room draws on agrarian vernacular architecture and utilizes reclaimed wood from the ranch's 1914 barn. Its dramatic cathedral ceiling with wooden trusses creates a rustic ambiance. Amber Interiors matched this with moody yet inviting furnishings to encourage visitors to linger over a glass of what The Hilt calls "refrigerated sunshine."
